Almost Two!

Last weekend we took a mini-vacation down to Fort Collins, Loveland, and Denver. We got to play at lots of really good parks, eat yummy food, and visit our friends Mandy, Bob, and Declan and Keri, Satchmo, and Emma. Then Sunday we headed down to Denver and had our first trip to the zoo! We were pretty entertained for about an hour or so, but then we became more interested in the landscaping and rocks. Mommy and Daddy were so busy following us that we hardly got any pictures. I guess we'll just have to plan another visit...

If you are keeping track, we turn two on Friday, May 29! We are very excited to be reaching this milestone. A lot of opportunities open up when you reach such an age. For example: tricycles. Great-grandma Kovacs generously purchased two tricycles and two helmets for us for our big day. Yesterday we drove to Laramie to pick them up at Wal-mart. While there, we decided to visit the Wyoming Children's Museum, which turned out to be super cool because you can touch EVERYTHING there. They had big, real stuffed animals, a live white feret, and all sorts of hands-on exhibits. We also stopped to have lunch at a deli and Mommy and Daddy are realizing how much easier it is getting to go out to eat with us. How exciting!

We just bought a new tent for our upcoming summer camping trips and we had to test it out. Mommy and Daddy's 2-person tent just wasn't going to cut it. Now we have a nice 5-person tent and there is plenty of space for Taffy!

Check out the static!

Linnaea crammed herself into the cargo section of our stroller. I was quite amazed that she fit into such a tiny space.

This is in Old Town Square in Fort Collins. We were waiting for our sushi take-out and got to walk around and play on the animals.

Elise made friends with a big bear.

Their favorite exhibit was the penguin habitat. They had been looking forward to seeing the penguins, and they ended up being able to get really close to them.

"Dekker", Bob, and Mandy.

Trying out our new sleeping bags.

Elise is REALLY good at jumping.

At the Wyoming Children's Museum.

Elise really liked the bear.

We love sitting on our trikes but need lots of pedal practice.

This morning I gave Linnaea her first haircut. Doesn't her bob look adorable?

Makes me wish I were at the zoo with you guys. The girls look so cute in the sleeping bags. I can't wait for Abby's sibling... almost a month to go! Can you believe it! I've been thinking of cutting Abby's bangs, but maybe I should just let them grow out. She would hate it if I tried to cut her hair I think. But you did a really cute job!

L's hair looks super-cute, and so does yours! It looks like y'all are having fun! We took the boys camping over Valentines weekend (so romantic, huh?) and thay did well... we just played hard and kept them up late so that they conked out without a peep :)
Love the bikes, happy bday in advance to the girls!
